As a mother I have spent years photographing my own children and their friends. I love their youthful vitality, their belief that they know best, that they are inevitably right and that we are old fuddy daddy’s prone to worrying about nothing and simply there to hinder and impinge upon their freedom.

They are neither child or adult, but at the same time they are both. It’s this contradiction that I love: awkwardness V confidence, child v adult, independence v dependence
