Protest

Much like the 1979 Winter of Discontent we seem to have a resurgence of daily protests. This time it’s not the unions striking but the youth with Extinction Rebellion, the working people against austerity policies, Trumps UK visits and attempts to interfere with our democracy and Boris and Brexit.

Protesting has been part of my life since my early teenage years. I stood on a picket line with my parents in the early 80’s and went on CND and anti apartheid demo’s. I ran a local Amnesty International group as a 19 year old and my parents were both Labour counsellors.

My protesting has once again increased. We seem to have a lot to be disgruntled about and the powers that be are in need of a shove. These are pictures taken on various protests, in Wales and London.
